Maintenance tips of a sleeping bag from Husky

MAINTENANCE AND PRACTICAL ADVICE

Maintenance tips:

The textile materials of the sleeping bag are designed for normal washing and cleaning. For best results, follow these instructions:

  • We do not recommend chemical cleaning, as properties such as water repellency and insulation performance may be reduced.
  • After each use, properly ventilate the sleeping bag in the unzipped state.
  • In case of local pollution, it is good to clean the blood only with lukewarm soapy water.

In the case of an exceptionally dirty surface, you can wash the sleeping bag as follows:

  • Pen in high-volume washers with a rotating drum - DO NOT use whirling washers.
  • Use warm water, not hot.
  • Always keep the zip on and don't sweat.
  • Do not use any detergents, as they are very aggressive (unless they are intended exclusively for sleeping bags).
  • The drying phase is also important, always dry the sleeping bag in a horizontal position.
  • With a feather sleeping bag, it is necessary to shake the sleeping bag several times a day so that the feathers do not fall.
  • When drying, do not expose the sleeping bag to the sun or radiant heat.

Our tips:

  • You can choose the side of the required zipper (right or left) by entering it in the note in the second step in the basket.
  • If you pack the sleeping bag in a package, the correct way is to press the bag into the package. This way you won't break the fibers of the filling, as would happen when rolling a sleeping bag.
  • For long-term storage, we do not recommend storing the sleeping bag in a package, but spreading the sleeping bag in an open space (even if it is a larger box or something else)
  • Always store the sleeping bag cleaned and dry in a dry place to extend its lifespan.

TEMPERATURE DETERMINATION

Extreme temperature

The lower limit, the extreme temperature where there is a risk of health damage from hypothermia applies to a normal man and to normal conditions). This temperature represents the danger point and it's not good to catch it.

Limit temperature
The lower limit at which the user of a sleeping bag in a crouched body position is generally in thermal equilibrium and does not feel cold (refers to a normal man and normal conditions).
Comfort temperature
The lower limit of the comfort range, at which the user of the sleeping bag in a relaxed body position, e.g. in a supine position, is generally in thermal balance and does not feel cold (based on a normal woman and under normal conditions).
